In loving memory of Walter Reddig: 1941-2023

Walter Carl Reddig Jr. passed away April 7, 2023, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family and friends, holding the hand of his loving bride of 54 years, Louise. He was born March 24, 1941, in Glasgow, Montana, to Walter C. Reddig Sr and Rosalie (Dalke) Reddig. 

Walt spent much of his life in Montana and Clark County, Washington, and worked in logging, farming and construction. He enjoyed fishing and sharing his catch at the dinner table with friends and family, especially with a bowl of oatmeal and his little buddy Toby. 

He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and he cherished his many Christian friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Louise; sons, Mike (Jill) Reddig, of Kalispell, Montana, Frank (Mary) Ward, of Park Place, Washington, Jeff Ward, of Medical Lake, Washington, and Clinton Reddig of North East, Maryland; daughters, Shirley (David) Bruner, of Lakeside, Montana, Sandra (Henry) Boehm, of Ridgefield, Washington, and Susan (Daniel) Massie of Yacolt, Washington. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy (Lynne) Reddig, Dave (Juanita) Reddig and Clifford Reddig. He was blessed with over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with his great-great-granddaughter, Lillian, and many nieces and nephews. 

A special thank you to the caregivers who helped in dad’s final days. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosalie Robinson; daughter, Sheri Rychtarik; grandchildren, Kara Massie, Emily Massie and Kevin Taylor; and nieces, Amy Reddig and Lori Homola. 

There will be a viewing from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 12 and 1 to 1:45 p.m. April 13 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Brush Prairie. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. April 13.
