La Center has a new part-time code compliance officer after hiring Michael Honl, a Feb. 15 news release stated.
Honl is a retired Portland police officer and has 25 years of patrol and field training experience. His job duties will include investigating, interpreting and enforcing all of La Center’s codes, ordinances, regulations and laws, including the enforcement of parking and nuisance infractions, according to the news release.
With a dedicated staff member assigned to code enforcement the City can more promptly respond to code complaints and provide an increased level of service to the community, the news release stated.
In addition to responding to code complaints reported by residents, Honl will proactively respond to code violations that are observed throughout La Center, the news release stated.
