La Center resident Joe Bosch joined the advisory council for the Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington (AAADSW), as announced in an April 3 news release.

“The stress in family caregiving for a parent can take a toll on families,” Bosch said. “I want to help families learn how to make it easier so they can enjoy each other for as long as they can.”

AAADSW connects older adults, adults with disabilities and family caregivers to a full range of community resources designed to offer choices, improve quality of life and respect independence.

“Joe is a great addition to the advisory council,” AAADSW Executive Director Mike Reardon said. “As a former educator, he understands the support and resources families need to help care for each other as they age in place.”

Bosch has a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in school administration. He is currently an assistant coach for Woodland Youth Wrestling, according to the press release.
