League of Women Voters to host primary election candidate forums

Candidates in five Clark County races will participate in forums ahead of the Aug. 1 primary election.

The forums, sponsored by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters of Clark County, will be aired on government access channel CVTV and links will be posted on cvtv.org.

The forums are open to the public and will be held at Station 26 of the Cowlitz/Clark Fire District at 21609 NE 72nd Ave. in Battle Ground.

The forums are scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m.



On Thursday, July 6, there will be forums for candidates for the Battle Ground City Council.

On Wednesday, July 12, there will be forums for the Woodland mayor position and Fire Protection District 5 Commissioner, Position 1 seat.

The nonprofit League of Women Voters was founded by leaders of the women’s suffrage movement in 1920. For more than 100 years, the league has worked to empower voters and defend democracy.
