Learn backcountry horseback riding at Clark County Saddle Club’s equine clinic

Horse enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers are invited to the free Equine Packing & Camping Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Clark County Saddle Club, located at 11407 NE 174th St., Battle Ground, WA.

Hosted by the Washington Trail Riders Association and the Mount St. Helens Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington, the clinic will feature hands-on demonstrations and informative sessions. Topics will include backcountry horseback riding, packing, hobble training, trail etiquette, and more. Participants will also learn about camping with bumper-pull trailers, out-of-state travel requirements and trailer maintenance, a press release from the Clark County Saddle Club stated.



Demonstrations will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will be repeated from noon to 3 p.m., except for Back Country Packing at 9 a.m. and Light Packing scheduled at noon.
