The Battle Ground School District has failed to perform.
Student academic performance is abysmal with about 40% scoring in math and 60% in English. Boys who think they are girls are allowed to compete in girl's sports.
As a result, there are currently about 1,500 former Battle Ground students who are enrolled in private schools or are being home schooled.
Each student enrolled in the Battle Ground School District results in a little over $10,000 provided to the district from the state.
If those 1,500 students had remained enrolled in Battle Ground, there would be no shortage in revenue with the $10,000 per student.
Fix the problem, Battle Ground School District, and draw our students back to Battle Ground.
