Letter to the editor: Please preserve vital services for our children in Battle Ground

Posted

The social-emotional learning (SEL) centers in Battle Ground schools provide essential support to students by offering a safe space to manage emotions, resolve conflicts and engage in skill-building.

Staff members, trained to assist with emotional dysregulation and peer relationship challenges, empower students to return to learning after a quiet reflection.

These centers are critical for fostering social-emotional growth and mental wellbeing.

Voting yes to keep SEL centers open ensures that every student has access to resources that promote emotional regulation and positive interactions, supporting their overall development. Please vote yes on April 22 to preserve these vital services for our children.
