Letter to the editor: Political Theater Pushes Voter Toward Independence

Posted

I am a registered Democrat leaning towards being an independent because, while both parties may have some words I agree with, I have problems with the outcomes they produce.

It is the Republicans that have control over all branches of government and see where we are at right now. Trump says he needs lower interest rates and to give back the American Dream.

More Inflation of the American Dream?

How much money will your grand, great, or Great, Great Grandchildren need for their dreams or will they be living in cubicles?

We have corporations buying up houses and rentals that effect the common taxpayer which if you have watched TV or the internet you don't see the corporations actually putting their name out, but a bunch I call free lance real estate buyers that from what I have heard and read they lowball the sellers from the price of your homes value which may bring a greater profit that you should have gotten to purchase another if need be or better your retirement.

It seems this so-called progress waits for no one, raising prices from A to Z.

Now, if you listen to the democrats about the division of wealth, I believe their words are resonating very highly.

Of course, they have been shouting for more rights for certain sectors of our society, but I believe they have enough rights at the moment and do not need more.

This is why I lean more towards being independent every time I see all this political theater we have been watching day after day.
