Battle Ground District voters recently said NO to a school levy. The district is allowed another levy this year! Have you changed your mind? Let’s look at some of changes or lack of change impacting schools and citizens in the state of Washington which may help you come to an informed decision!
The Washington State Legislator is now in session. The Democrat super majority has drafted and is in the process of diluting the parental rights initiative which is a slap in the face to all parents and the majority of voters that voted pro-initiative. Parental oversite and ability to support their children are being diluted, making schools more dangerous. The Democrat superior majority and State Superintendent, Chris Reykdal OSPI policies of disciplinary rules continue to create chaos, tedium, and waste of our tax dollars in the classrooms. Students are being indoctrinated to accept chaotic undisciplined behavior. Did you know that in the BG district, disruption, requiring clearing of the room due to illegal or improper behavior are common in one or more classrooms daily? Is lack of funds the issue?
BG school Libraries continue to provide access to pornographic literature (70+ different books) designed to sexualize children at an early age, promote and groom children to non-heterosexual relationships, fornication, sodomy, gender confusion, and homosexual sexual practices. In addition, the Washington state Democrats, have mandated Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE), K-12, which is sexualizing children at an early age, and grooming them to believe abhorrent sexual behavior is acceptable.
Parents have extremely limited access to curriculums or observation in the classroom. Even the Battle Ground School Board has restricted observatory powers in the classroom. What is happening in the classroom?
With Democrat supermajority, Governor Ferguson and Superintendent Reykdal, schools are mandated to teach Marxism and Communism, such as Critical Race Theory, Class warfare, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and ESG (environment, social, governance).
Besides wasting taxpayer money, it is indoctrination, not learning, and persecution of children who do not agree. It is antithetical to the American way of life, the nuclear family, parental rights, our freedom, and Christian values.
This year the BG District are in the process of implementing by the end of the year a Marxist/Communist program, SEL, Social Emotional Learning, which will be embedded in the curriculum, unlabeled, making discovery difficult and timely. SEL can foster an environment where peer pressure causes distress when opposing views are presented. Parents, it is planned!
Washington State Report Card has Battle Ground District students English Language Arts proficiency overall: 46.5 % and 40.1% in Math. In terms of college readiness only 45.4% meet English, and sadly 29.1% meet math benchmarks.
The truth hurts but schools in Washington are WOKE and have been a growing dumpster fire for over a decade. Additional money will not extinguish but feed the fire. For decades, from school district to state level, the repeated cry “MONEY FOR THE CHILDREN, FOR THE FUTURE” is heard. Voters, when the dumpster fire is gone, then fund the schools!
