Letter to the editor: Trump Endorsement Costs Braun A Conservative Vote

Posted

I am a 3-decade citizen of Clark County who votes conservative. I am also a constituent who has received excellent help from Sen. John Braun's office. I have written Sen. Braun that I will not be voting for him in November. The reason: His acceptance of Pres. Trump's endorsement.

I will be forced to vote for whoever the Democrats put up. The reasons are simple and compelling:

- DJT has violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution.
- He has supported Putin, a genocidal dictator. He couldn't care less that the US fought two bloody wars for precisely the same cause, then two world wars. He renders our veterans' sacrifices vain.
- He is ruining our economy with high gas prices, high food prices, and inept tariffs, while cheapening the dollar.
- He has started a costly, endless, useless war with Iran.
- He has pardoned violent rioters, corrupt officials and dictators. He has flooded our streets with untrained police armed with unlawful warrants and provided zero oversight.
- He has appointed to high office a gang of incompetents, some of whom are stupendously ignorant.
- He cheats at golf. The American taxpayer foots the bill — $2.3 million per outing. You can look it up.

This is not a matter of politics. It's basic morality.

Sen. Braun must repudiate DJT's endorsement before it's too late. He will have some explaining to do in some parts of this district. He should do it while he can.

Sincerely,

Evan Dudik
