Letter to the editor: Well done on homelessness, Battle Ground City Council

Posted

In response to the story (Vancouver points blame toward Battle Ground on homelessness), I say to the Battle Ground City Council, if we have less homeless, less crime, less vandalism per capita than the city of Vancouver, then I’m getting exactly what I voted for.

Thanks!

When will the leadership of Vancouver and Portland learn that giving the homeless free stuff, along with an overly permissive attitude in allowing them to break the law, vandalize, openly do drugs, and defecate anywhere, will not make things get better.

I have no idea why the good people of Vancouver tolerate this level of poor judgement from their mayor or city council. It wasn’t but a few years ago that Portland was a beautiful city where you could go shopping and have a day of fun.

Now it’s dangerous and only a shell of what it used to be. Vancouver is on that same path. Vancouver is easily on the same path of decline as Portland.
