If you, a friend or family member are a non-citizen, you could be abducted by the government in the middle of the night or day, put in jail, and transported to a notorious foreign prison, based on the judgement of some suit in Washington, D.C.
You could be given no hearing or public process. All in secret. Who knows what happens to them after that. How are they treated? Are they there for life? And now the president is saying he may send American citizens to those prisons.
Our president has an enemies list of people and groups who have offended him in some ways. He has directed the attorney general to investigate and prosecute these people. He is treating the attorney general like his personal lawyer, not the people’s lawyer.
The president is suppressing free speech, freedom of the press and states’ rights by pulling visas, withholding federal funds and suing the media. He is sending chills throughout the system and creating fear of speaking out and challenging the powerful.
What is this country becoming?
