A Ridgefield gymnast and swimmer, as well as a Hockinson swimmer, all reached top-five in their respective events in the state championships in February.
Ridgefield gymnast Evie Dreiling placed fifth in the 3A/2A/1A state gymnastics meet floor exercise, with her routine scoring a 9.35 on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Lincoln Swift of Ridgefield and Ryder Hough of Hockinson both swam to a pair of top-five finishes at the 2A/1A boys swimming state championships at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Swift capped off his senior campaign with a fourth place finish in the 200 individual medley in 2:05.95. He also earned fifth place in the 500 freestyle with 5:02.40.
Hough, swimming strong in his junior season, finished fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.26 seconds. Hough also finished fifth place in the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 49.07.
