North Clark County Shuttle Service information potluck slated

An upcoming potluck at Brush Prairie’s Bethel Lutheran Church will provide details about a Monday through Friday shuttle service. Gerina Hatch, Community in Motion mobility manager, will join members of the Bethel Lutheran Church at noon on Thursday, Sept. 7, for the potluck.

According to a press release, the North County Shuttle Service provides free transportation into Battle Ground for things such as medical appointments, shopping and community services. The shuttle is available in five service areas, one area for each day of the week, from La Center, Ariel, Chelatchie, Moulton and Hockinson. Seniors, people with disabilities and people who are socially isolated are eligible for the service, the release adds.

Pastor Lynne Ogren welcomes the community to join its members at the potluck at Bethel Lutheran Church to learn more about this new service that has been offered to residents since 2021. The church is located at 12919 N.E. 159th St. in Brush Prairie.

“We welcome members of the community to join us to learn more about this service that may be of benefit to family, friends and neighbors who face transportation challenges,” Ogren said. “This is an opportunity to reach out and help others be more connected to services, etc … when we can’t always be there to support them personally.”
