A Longview motorcyclist died in a collision on state Route 503 in Ariel last week, according to police.
At about 9:50 a.m. Aug. 2, Paige Barletta, 34, of Portland, was driving southbound on Route 503 near milepost 44 when she made a U-turn, according to a crash memo from the Washington State Patrol. James Woodworth, 78, of Longview, was driving behind and collided with Barletta.
Woodworth, who was driving a motorcycle, was declared dead at the scene. Barletta, who was driving a Toyota Prius, received no injuries, though damage was reported on the vehicle.
Negligent driving is reported as the cause by WSP.
