The 12th annual Clark County Open Studios Tour, organized by Artstra, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1-2. The free, self-guided event gives the public a chance to visit local artists’ studios, see how their work is created, meet the artists and shop locally.
Many local artists are participating in the tour, including fused glass artist Ann Cavanaugh, jewelry artist Lois Steiner, sculptor and painter Ann Fleming, abstract painter Ken Spurlock, photographer Michael Kay and map painter Jennifer Williams, the Artstra website stated.
A preview exhibit featuring work from each artist will be on display through October at Art at the Cave Gallery, 108 E. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3, with artist talks scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18.
Artstra, a nonprofit arts advocacy group, organizes the tour each year to support music, theater, dance, literary, visual and media art in southwest Washington. A full directory of participating artists, including accessibility details and studio locations, is available at artstra.org.
