A $1 million donation from the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace will support PeaceHealth’s Leadership in Ministry program, the Vancouver-based nonprofit healthcare system announced May 12.
The program provides retreats and training for healthcare leaders across the PeaceHealth system and is intended to strengthen leadership development while deepening participants’ “understanding of healthcare as a healing ministry,” according to a PeaceHealth news release.
PeaceHealth, headquartered in Vancouver, operates medical centers and clinics throughout Washington, Oregon and Alaska, including the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. The nonprofit health system includes approximately 16,000 caregivers, more than 3,000 providers, more than 160 clinics and nine medical centers.
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded the healthcare organization that later became PeaceHealth in 1890. To learn more, visit csjp.org.
