Patriotic spirit and small-town tradition came together during the 104th annual Woodland Planters Days parade as residents lined the streets in downtown to celebrate both the community’s longstanding festival and the upcoming America 250 commemoration on Saturday, June 20. Red, white and blue displays, veterans, classic cars, community groups and the Woodland High School marching band highlighted the parade. The event with a theme this year of “Woodland, Washington — a legendary spirit. America 250,” offered something for everyone as the hometown pride that has defined Planters Days for more than a century joined communities across the nation in marking the approaching 250th anniversary of the United States.
