Longview police say a man died after shooting himself inside the Seventh Avenue Walmart on Monday.
Longview Capt. Braden McNew said the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m.
He did not release identifying information about the man because the department does not provide details on suicides, McNew said.
Longview Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Gorsuch told The Daily News crews were dispatched to Walmart at 10:28 a.m. for a person suffering from a possible gunshot wound.
Crews administered medical treatment to the person two minutes after arriving. A Medix ambulance later transported the patient to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, Gorsuch said.
