Pomeroy Farm’s Pumpkin Lane provides family fun before Halloween

Posted

Visitors to Pomeroy Farm’s Pumpkin Lane can experience history, fall vibes and family fun with a hayride and more.

The hayride takes visitors down Pumpkin Lane where Pomeroy Farm set up 35 scenes with a total of 90 “pumpkin people.” Themes down Pumpkin Lane include books, stories, movies and television, history, life in the past, as well as many other individual scenes.

The family-friendly October event is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last admission at 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday throughout October.

Children’s activities are plentiful at Pomeroy Farm’s Pumpkin Lane with yard games like cornhole, a bale maze inside the pavilion building, water pumps for toy pumpkin races and even a chance to feed goats and chickens and roosters. There’s also a small hand-placed pumpkin patch full of pumpkins for carving as well as decorative pumpkins of a variety of shapes, sizes and colors including white, green, pink and more.

“I hope people enjoy it. I hope they know about it and come see it,” Pomeroy Farm’s Megan Miller said. “We put a lot of time and effort into putting it all up, and we love to get people’s feedback and hear what their favorite [Pumpkin Lane] scene is.”

On Friday, Oct. 20, Pomeroy Farm will be offering its Pumpkin Lane “After Dark” event for an evening hayride, wine and s’mores. The “After Dark” event is open for people 21 and over. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com/e/pumpkin-lane-after-dark-tickets-714158887457.

Pomeroy Farm’s Pumpkin Lane is located at 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road in Yacolt. For more information, including ticket prices, visit pomeroyfarm.org/pumpkin-lane/.
