Spokane would advance the Falcons into the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 5, at 12:15 p.m. in the Tacoma Dome.

The Ridgefield Spudders battled through the 2A District 4 tournament’s consolation bracket and survived three straight loser-out matchups against higher seeds. To keep their season alive, the Spudder girls bounced back from a 65-34 loss to W.F. West with a 46-40 win over Tumwater High School on Monday, Feb. 16. Ridgefield narrowly survived round two of the losers bracket with a 49-46 win over Black Hills High School on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The consolation bracket concluded in triumphant fashion after the Spudders escaped into the 2A state tournament with a 35-33 win over Columbia River High School on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The Spudders were awarded the final seed into the 2A state girls tournament and will travel to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m. to face off against Fife High School in a loser-out matchup. A win over Fife would send Ridgefield to the Yakima Valley SunDome to face the loser of Selah versus Lynden on Wednesday, March 4, at 2 p.m.
