The City of Ridgefield announced Wendy Lehner and the Ridgefield Lions Club were named the winners of its Make a Difference Award.
The announcement was made during the State of the City address, which was released late last month.
“The Make a Difference Award highlights an individual and an organization that deserves recognition for their contributions and commitment to helping others in need, improving our neighborhoods, creating community and making Ridgefield a better place to live,” stated the city on social media. “They are the unsung heroes whose volunteer efforts and giving spirit don’t usually get recognition or awards and this is the way for us to say ‘thank you.’”
