The Ridgefield Lions Club and community members partnered to provide 250 Thanksgiving food boxes for local families this year in memory of longtime club member Cliff Clark.
Ridgefield Lions contributed $3,400 in personal donations, with community members adding $1,800. The combined $5,200 was matched by the club for a total of $10,400. Christian charity Compassion 360 then assembled and distributed the boxes, a news release by the Ridgefield Lions stated.
“Compassion 360 is overwhelmed by the generosity of the Ridgefield Lions Club in your financial contribution toward our Cliff Clark Memorial Thanksgiving meal boxes,” Compassion 360 director and Ridgefield Lion Wendy Lehner said in the release. “All 250 boxes were gifted to our neighbors and community, including several foster families here in Ridgefield.”
Lehner also thanked Lions members who delivered boxes and helped pack perishable items.
