The City of Ridgefield opened applications for the City Partners Program, which aims to recognize and support local nonprofit and community groups that contribute significantly to economic development, community events, public services and public facility improvements.
Nonprofit and community groups may apply to join the City Partners Program online at shorturl.at/aTAch. The first review of applications will be on Monday, March 31. Applications for grant funding will be reviewed bi-monthly as long as funds are available, a news release by the City of Ridgefield stated.
To be eligible for the City Partners Programs, the applicants must either be a group contracted to perform a city service, a volunteer group maintaining or improving public facilities or a group working within Ridgefield to address a specific community need or support a City Council goal, the news release stated.
Members of the City Partners Program may request a waiver of facility use fees twice per year for city-owned spaces. Partners may also apply for a waiver of special event permit fees for public events that address a community need twice per year. Additionally, members may receive up to $1,200 annually in financial contributions from the City of Ridgefield or in-kind services for projects that benefit the community, the release stated.
