Ridgefield police seeking missing person

The Ridgefield Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 33-year-old resident last seen leaving her home earlier this week.

Jessica Fern was last seen leaving her residence at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, a release from the city stated. She is 5-foot-5, about 100 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a flannel long-sleeve button-up shirt and black shorts.

Fern left her home in a black Ford Edge vehicle with her dog, the release stated. Her dog was found near the Vancouver waterfront at close to noon on Aug. 16. The next day, her vehicle was found  in Clackamas County near the Clackamas Town Center. 

The Ridgefield Police Department is working closely with Fern’s friends and family to locate her, the release stated. Anyone who has seen Fern or has information related to her whereabouts are asked to contact Officer Tyler King at Tyler.King@ridgefieldwa.us or by calling 911.
