Raptors season ends after 7-2 loss to Corvallis Knights

After closing off the regular season with a walk-off home run in extra innings, Braden Watson of the Ridgefield Raptors added another walk-off home run in the opening playoff series on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The Raptors kept their season alive after a bottom of the ninth three-run home run by Watson secured the 12-10 win and forced a game three on Sunday, Aug. 9, against the Portland Pickles.

In a high scoring three-game playoff series, the Raptors came out on top on Aug. 9 with a 12-8 win over the Pickles.

The Raptors advanced to play the Corvallis Knights on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Goss Stadium in Corvallis for the South Division Championship with a chance to advance to the West Coast League (WCL) Championship.

The Knights won 7-2 over the Raptors on Aug. 11, bringing  Ridgefield's season to a close. 

The Raptors finished one of their highest-performing regular seasons in franchise history. After earning the first half division championship, the Raptors finished tied at the top of the WCL South Division at 31-23, along with the Walla Walla Sweets and Corvallis Knights.

Home field advantage at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex remained strong for the Raptors as they closed out the regular season with a 17-10 record at home.
