The Greater Clark County Rotary Club announced that Ridgefield High School sophomore Zander Earl will spend his junior year studying in central Mexico as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program on Friday, March 6.

Earl will attend a Mexican high school and live with three host families as part of the cultural exchange program. The exchange program region stretches from Acapulco to Veracruz and includes cities such as Puebla and Cuernavaca, according to a Greater Clark County Rotary Club press release.

Earl serves on the Ridgefield Youth Commission and will join the Advanced Leadership Faculty at the Scouting America Philmont National Training Center this summer before departing for Mexico.

Local Rotary clubs will begin accepting applications in April from Clark County freshmen interested in participating in the exchange program during their junior year of high school. Exchange countries include Japan, India, France, Germany, Denmark, Brazil and a dozen others.
