Ridgefield High School student Sam Parker served as a page in the Washington state House of Representatives from March 24 through March 28.
State Rep. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama, sponsored Parker’s participation in the program in Olympia.
“Sam is a bright and talented individual with an outgoing personality who has a very promising future. It was great to get a chance to visit with her and have her helping here in the Legislature,” Orcutt said in a news release issued by Washington State House Republicans. “I look forward to hearing about her future successes.”
During her time as a page, Parker helped with duties on the House floor, delivered documents around the Capitol campus, and assisted legislative offices. She also attended Page School, where she studied the legislative process and its role in state government, the news release stated.
