The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) is seeking public comment on a plan designed to improve transportation access for people with disabilities, seniors, youth, low-income residents and people in rural areas.
The draft 2026 Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan aims to coordinate transportation resources provided through multiple state and federal programs. The plan covers Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties, according to an RTC news release.
The plan is intended to improve access, reduce duplication of services and encourage cost-effective transportation. Its development has included transportation service providers, agencies that distribute funds, service users and community members, according to the RTC website.
The formal public comment period runs through Oct. 1. The draft plan is available at shorturl.at/7TZDj. Comments can be submitted through the RTC's online public feedback form at shorturl.at/yAtyl or by mail to P.O. Box 1366, Vancouver, WA 98666-1366.
The RTC Board is scheduled to consider comments during its 4 p.m. Oct. 6 public meeting and approve the final plan Nov. 3.
