Washington State University Vancouver will host a Scholarships 101 Information Night for prospective college students interested in learning how scholarships can help them manage the cost of a college education. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in Dengerink Administration Building, Room 110. This event is a free public service open to everyone, no matter which college or university they plan to attend. Free parking will be available in Orange 2 lot.
Scholarships provide money for college that does not have to be repaid and can help reduce financial stress, allowing students to focus more on their studies and stay on track to complete their degree, according to a news release. Guests who attend Scholarships 101 Information Night will learn where to find the best scholarships, how to write award-winning essays and get helpful tips from prior award winners.
