Silver Lake Resort transforms into “Spooky Lake Resort” for one day only

Silver Lake Resort will transform into Spooky Lake Resort from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at 3201 Spirit Lake Highway, Silver Lake, for an afternoon of Halloween happenings, according to a news release from the resort.

This year, the event doubles as a fundraiser for Seeds to Salmon (S2S), a program of the Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group that provides hands-on student learning in native plant propagation, ecological restoration and the vital connection between healthy forests and salmon-bearing waterways, according to the release.

“As former educators, we love combining fun with learning, especially when it helps local students connect with nature,” said Ember Crippen, general manager of Silver Lake Resort. “Halloween is the perfect time to celebrate community, creativity and curiosity — all while supporting a great cause.”

Guests can stroll through the resort for trick-or-treating around the cabins, where each door might hold a surprise, the release stated. Additionally, Cowlitz Metaphysics will be offering mystical readings in the Holistic Cabin, a Magic Class will teach magic tricks, a DJ will play music, and balloon animals will be provided.
