State Senate Republicans announce committee assignments

The Republicans in the state Senate announced their committee assignments last week.

Sen. John Braun, R-Centralia, of the 20th district was selected to serve on the Housing, Labor and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Rules committees. As the Republican leader in the Senate, Braun does not serve as the top Republican on any committee.



Sen. Jeff Wilson, R-Longview, of the 19th district will serve on the State Government, Tribal Relations and Elections; Housing; Human Services; and Transportation committees. Wilson will continue serving as the top Republican on the State Government, Tribal Relations and Elections Committee.

Senator-elect Drew MacEwen, R-Shelton, of the 35th district will join the Business and Financial Services; Environment, Energy and Technology; Labor and Commerce; and Transportation committees. MacEwen will serve as the top Republican on the Environment, Energy and Technology Committee.
