Tukes Taphouse rebrands to Tuke’s Public House and Garden

The former Tukes Taphouse at 113 E. Main St. in Battle Ground has undergone a reimagining of its brand, menu, processes and even the grounds themselves.

Tukes Taphouse originally opened in late 2023. It changed ownership in January 2026, and closed for a few months while the new owners took time to implement their vision for the space. A soft reopening in March featured some of the new menu items as a test to gauge the public’s receptivity.

It has remained open continuously since March, while the new concepts were being finalized. On the menu side, that included an enhanced selection of pizza, plus charcuterie, desserts and other sharables.

General Manager James Townley said that they are focused on creating menu items with higher-quality, cleaner ingredients, from the sourdough crust to organic pizza sauce and fresh toppings.

“We can't do it with every single thing on the menu as of yet,” Townley said, “but we really are pushing toward food clean enough for kids to snack on freely.”

That commitment extends to the drinks, with Tuke’s offering a selection of soft drinks without high fructose corn syrup. Their beer and wine offerings feature a regular rotation from local establishments.

In preparation for the rebranding celebration, new landscaping was added, the logo was redesigned, and renovations were completed to create a community gathering space.

The rebranding celebration

On Friday, June 12, from 3 to 9 p.m., the community was invited to experience the new Tuke’s Public House & Garden. The event featured happy hour pricing on food and drinks, live music, and the debut of fresh grass and landscaping with lawn games, and a new treehouse for kids.

Townley reported strong attendance: “All the tables were full, and there were a lot of people standing.”

The vision is a place where the community can gather, families with children are welcome, and locals can dine on food made with clean, locally sourced ingredients, while enjoying local beer and wine, and a variety of soft drinks.

Townley said, “We’re trying to create a place where, when kids are being kids, families can come in and feel like they are not intruding on us at all.”

Tuke’s Public House & Garden is open Tuesday through Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
