The City of Vancouver has been tapped as a fan zone city as Lumen Field in Seattle will host multiple 2026 FIFA World Cup games.
On Jan. 14, the Seattle FIFA World Cup 26 Local Organizing Committee announced that nine locations across Washington will partner as fan zones, including Vancouver. The committee stated that they are working with FOX 13 Seattle, a broadcast partner of the FIFA World Cup 26 to support the fan zones across the state. Fan zones are areas that may include live entertainment, interactive activities, food and beverage and more possibilities during broadcasts of Seattle-hosted matches.
“Vancouver, WA is thrilled to be part of the FIFA World Cup in 2026,” Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnery-Ogle stated in the release. “We’re hoping to create an electric atmosphere for soccer fans to take in the excitement of the matches as part of the fan zone experience. We’re also looking forward to showcasing the first Vancouver to the World Cup community.”
Other fan zone locations include:
• Bellingham, Whatcom County
• Bremerton, Kitsap County
• Everett, Snohomish County
• Olympia/Lacey, Thurston County
• Pasco/Richland/Kennewick (Tri-Cities), Benton and Franklin counties
• Spokane, Spokane County
• Tacoma, Pierce County
• Yakima, Yakima County
