Woodland-based baseball club earns 13U state title, 14U and 11U earn second-place finishes

The 13U FCA Lumberjacks baseball team, based in Woodland, earned a state title on July 14 while the 14U and 11U teams earned second place in their respective tournament brackets.

The 13U team is also having success at regionals in Meridian, Idaho, their Facebook page stated last week. The FCA Lumberjacks is a tournament baseball club for 9U through 16U for Southwest Washington athletes. The 13U team also won a 10U state title in 2022, said Jenni Guajardo, who manages social media for the FCA Lumberjacks and also is a mom of a player in the program.

The FCA Lumberjacks are holding round two of their tryouts on Thursday, Aug. 7, with 9U and 10U tryouts beginning at 5 p.m. at the Woodland Middle School baseball field, 755 Park St. The rest of the age group tryouts will start at 6 p.m.

The program is based in Woodland and has athletes from throughout Southwest Washington, including Kalama, Woodland, Ridgefield, Battle Ground and beyond.
