The City of Woodland is seeking volunteers to fill four vacancies on its Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

Two of the vacancies are for representatives of hotels and motels in the city, and two are for members who benefit from the tax, a news release from the city stated. Members are nominated by the mayor and appointed by the Woodland City Council.

The committee meets to review proposals from parties interested in competing for estimated lodging tax funds available in the following year, the release stated. The committee determines by majority vote which, if any, of the proposals to recommend to the City Council for funding and in what individual amounts.

Applications and detailed information relating to the committee are available on the city website, ci.woodland.wa.us, by contacting the Woodland city administrator via email at boycep@ci.woodland.wa.us or by calling 360-225-8281. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
