During the Woodland City Council meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, Mayor Todd Dinehart swore in Sgt. Trevor Eades, making him the newest addition to the Woodland Police Department command team.

Eades brings over 20 years of public safety experience to the small town department.

Eades started his public safety career with the Cowlitz County Jail in 2001 before joining the ranks of the Longview Police Department, where he served for 16 years.

Eades joined the Woodland Police Department in 2025 as an outside hire into their sole detective position and will now be serving as one of the two patrol sergeants in the agency.
