The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance Southwest Chapter reported a strong turnout for this year’s Yacolt Burn Experience on June 20, with 215 riders taking part in the annual mountain biking event.
According to the chapter, seven shuttle trucks transported riders throughout the day, helping participants access some of Southwest Washington’s popular mountain biking trails. Organizers said hundreds of laps were ridden during the event.
The gathering also included food, prizes and a raffle supported by event sponsors. Hundreds of pulled pork sandwiches were served, and hundreds of prizes were awarded to participants.
The chapter also noted one Sasquatch sighting, adding a Pacific Northwest touch to the day’s festivities.
Evergreen Southwest thanked the sponsors who helped support the raffle and gave special recognition to You Move Me PDX for providing extra drivers and shuttle trucks for the event.
The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance Southwest Chapter said it looks forward to bringing the Yacolt Burn Experience back again next year.
