The Battle Ground’s Citizen of the Year Committee is asking the community to submit nominations for 2023. The Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to a Battle Ground local, couple or group who have displayed volunteerism, dedication and outstanding service to the community. Nominations are being accepted through Jan. 20.
People can submit nominations using the official Google form posted on The Battle Ground Citizen of the Year Facebook page, or directly via tinyurl.com/22y7dhn8. All nominations must be made through the form.
Nomination forms should include all the necessary information about the people being nominated. People eligible to be nominated cannot currently hold public office and must work or live within Battle Ground. The nominee cannot be a previous Citizen of the Year.
The Citizen of the Year award has been given annually since 1973. Last year’s recipient was Kendra Laratta, who started the Battle Ground Festivals Association, as reported by The Reflector.
