Battle Ground offers grants to tourism programs

Posted

To increase local tourism, the City of Battle Ground will offer grants to programs that attract tourists. Applications for programs in 2025 are due by 5 p.m., Saturday, August 31.

The grants are available for a variety of programs, including marketing, special events and other activities designed to bring visitors to Battle Ground, a city news release stated.

Prior grant awards were given to programs for wayfinding signs, marketing materials and events, the news release stated. Grant applications should summarize the activity or events, how it supports Battle Ground tourism and provide a proposed budget indicating how lodging tax dollars will be used.

The City’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will review proposals and forward recommendations to the Battle Ground City Council for final determination of awards in December of this year. Grant awards are distributed on a reimbursement basis.
