Last week, the Battle Ground City Council adopted a six-year transportation improvement program, which identifies transportation projects slated for completion. The city expects to pay $57.7 million for 31 road improvement projects within the next six years. Of the amount, $46.2 million will be covered by federal and state grants.
The City Council outlined its five greatest priorities for transportation improvements, in order:
• Southeast Grace Avenue Improvements: Design from East Main Street to Southeast Eaton Boulevard — $8.8 million, construction TBD.
• Northwest Fifth Street from state Route 503 to North Parkway Avenue — $3.8 million, construction fourth quarter 2024.
• Northwest 20th Avenue/Northwest Ninth Street intersection improvements — $533,400, construction TBD.
• Southwest Eaton Boulevard from state Route 503 to Southwest 20th Avenue. — $14.27 million, construction fourth quarter 2026.
• Southwest Rasmussen Boulevard signal at state Route 503 — $3.1 million, construction TBD.
