Bratton Canyon Park to close temporarily

Posted

The Parks and Lands division of Clark County Public Works is temporarily closing Bratton Canyon Park, effective April 1.

The closure will allow for comprehensive assessment activities, a news release by the county stated. The information from the assessment will be used to develop a long-range plan for Bratton Canyon Park.

The park will be reopened as soon as possible once the assessment is complete and the park is determined safe for public use, the release stated.

The property is located at 39310 NW Ninth Ave. in Woodland.

The former campground was transferred to the county from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources in 2011. Clark County has been operating the park as a day-use facility since the transfer.
