C-TRAN to host own town halls for its 2045 plans

Following a Monday, March 4 town hall in Salmon Creek, C-TRAN will be hosting six more town hall events to gather community input for its long-range plans.

“C-TRAN 2045 is a collaborative process to chart the future of public transportation in Clark County during the next 20 years,” according to C-TRAN’s website. “The goal is to create a long-range plan that meets our community’s evolving needs and provides expanded, reliable transportation options. The plan will look at existing conditions, priorities and future investments. It will envision what C-TRAN could look like two decades from now.”

C-TRAN 2030, C-TRAN’s most recent long-range plan, was adopted in 2010 and then updated in 2016. That long-range plan identified numerous projects and priorities for transit improvements in the region — many of which have since been completed, according to the website.

“The C-TRAN 2045 process will build on those achievements as we continue to look toward the future,” it stated.
