Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) detectives are investigating an Oregon man for stealing multiple utility trailers and selling them on social media in the Portland Metro area and Southwest Washington.

Police arrested a man in the case, but the investigation remains ongoing, and they did not provide a name for the suspect.

CCSO stated in a news release that, for over a year, the man stole trailers in the area and then sold them online using aliases WebbJJ, Joshua James and Joshua J. Webb.

During their investigation, CCSO detectives obtained search warrants for several locations, recovering property stolen in multiple theft cases.

The person is associated with addresses in Gresham, Oregon, and Battle Ground. He is accused of forging titles and other paperwork, using these aliases when selling the trailers. Pictures and messages on his cell phone indicate he sold numerous stolen trailers, according to the CCSO report, and detectives are working to locate them.

The man is associated with a raised white 2011 Dodge Ram full-sized pickup truck with blue lighting under the vehicle and front wheel well, as well as a raised tan full-sized Chevy/GMC SUV with black wheels. These vehicles have been used to steal several trailers, the release stated.

People who have evidence indicating these vehicles are involved in a trailer theft or purchased a trailer from the suspect should contact CCSO Detectives Dan Brown or Elijan Page, from the  Tactical Detectives Unit, at dan.brown@clark.wa.gov and elijah.page@clark.wa.gov.
