Clark County Public Works to host open house for Heritage Farm sustainability plan

Posted

Clark County Public Works, Parks and Lands, invites the community to learn more about the sustainability plan for 78th Street Heritage Farm at an open house, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Minnehaha Elementary School, 2800 NE 54th St., Vancouver.

Information about the plan’s development and its final draft will be presented from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents can attend in person or online.

In 2010, the Clark County Council approved a master plan for the 78th Street Heritage Farm. The plan identified agricultural use as the primary focus of the site. The farm also includes spaces for agricultural demonstrations and research, recreation, community events and administrative activities. The plan guides how the site’s master plan will be implemented while increasing public access and improving the site’s financial sustainability.

A recording of the meeting will be posted to the project webpage within five business days of the open house on the Clark County Public Works website.

A copy of the final draft plan will be posted on the project webpage by Wednesday, Jan. 17.
