Clark County’s Commission on Aging is accepting nominations for its seventh annual Silver Citizen Award, which honors older adults who make significant contributions to their community.
Nominees must be Clark County residents age 60 or older and may be recognized for volunteerism, leadership or other impactful acts of service. While lifetime achievements are considered, the award emphasizes contributions made after age 60, according to a news release from Clark County.
A couple may receive the award jointly when both have been involved in service and community endeavors.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31. The award will be presented at a future Commission on Aging event, according to the release.
