Celebration honoring veterans: 1 p.m. for ice cream and cookie social, 2 p.m. for program on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 40107 NE 221st Ave., Amboy. Join the North Clark Historical Museum in honoring our veterans. Tickets will be $3 for adults and $1.50 for kids, with all proceeds going to Mt. Valley Grange No. 79. The speaker will be retired Lt. Col. Ward A. Holcomb, of the United States Marine Corps. All veterans who attend will receive a free raffle ticket for a special patriotic quilt made and donated by the Chelatchie Quilters.
