Toastmaster meetings: 7 p.m. every Tuesday online. Toastmasters holds meetings for people who want to improve their communication skills for business or career development. Meetings are on Zoom. Green cleaning webinar: 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Learn how to make three versatile and environmentally friendly household cleaners. Participants will be eligible to receive a green cleaning kit, although supplies are limited. Pre-registration is required online at clark countycomposts.org/current-offerings.

Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington meeting: 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. Come join the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington Chapter No. 19, who will host local author Kathleen Box. She will share stories of real life adventures about her ancestors from her new historical novel, A Continent Between Us. Celebration honoring veterans: 1 p.m. for ice cream and cookie social, 2 p.m. for program on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 40107 NE 221st Ave., Amboy. Join the North Clark Historical Museum in honoring our veterans. Tickets will be $3 for adults and $1.50 for kids, with all proceeds going to Mt. Valley Grange No. 79. The speaker will be retired Lt. Col. Ward A. Holcomb, of the United States Marine Corps. All veterans who attend will receive a free raffle ticket for a special patriotic quilt made and donated by the Chelatchie Quilters. Proceeds for the raffle will go toward the capital improvement fund. Raffle tickets will be available from 1 to 2 p.m. in the basement and main hall. For more information, call 360-247-5800. 

Luncheon: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8 at the Battle Ground Senior Center, 116 NE Third Ave., Battle Ground. The event will celebrate Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. 

Clark County Fire District 6 joint meeting: 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue training room, 911 N. 65th Ave., Ridgefield. The Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue Board of Fire Commissioners will meet with the Board of Clark County Fire Protection District 6 for a discussion on mutual aid and joint emergency services at Station 151, Clark County’s Public Safety Complex. Holiday vendor and craft fair: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Woodland Grange, 404 Davidson Ave., Woodland. There will be a holiday vendor and craft fair to benefit Patti Hadaller, who is fighting stage four cancer, as well as her family and the Woodland Grange itself. Retirement party for Dale Boon: 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Port of Woodland, 1608 Guild Road, Woodland. The public is welcome to attend the event to thank Commissioner Dale Boon for his many years of service and recognize his retirement.
