Clark County Public Works is seeking two adults to serve as volunteer park hosts at Lewisville Regional Park, 26411 NE Lewisville Highway, Battle Ground. The one-year positions run through Dec. 31, 2027.
The hosts would live in a county-owned residence at the park and help keep the grounds safe and welcoming for visitors. Duties include cleaning restrooms, opening gates by 7 a.m. and closing them at dusk, emptying garbage cans, picking up litter and reporting emergencies or maintenance needs, according to a Clark County news release.
Lewisville Regional Park is one of the county’s busiest parks, drawing more than 1,000 visitors on summer weekend days. Restrooms and other facilities often need cleaning several times a day during summer, and applicants should be prepared for the physical demands of the work.
The county provides basic utilities, including electricity, water, sewer and garbage and recycling service, along with kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer. Hosts must provide their own phone and internet service. The residence can accommodate up to two adults and two minors or dependents.
Applicants must complete state and federal background checks and fingerprinting, provide rental history and show proof of renter’s insurance. The county also encourages interested applicants to review the program’s policies and requirements before applying.
