Face Forward Esthetics provides skin care, lash services at Parlour 73 in Battle Ground

At the age of 20, Ashley Venneri, opened Face Forward Esthetics last month at Parlour 73, which is located in Battle Ground Village.

Venneri got her inspiration for the business by watching self-care and pimple popping videos. She has always wanted to work with people one-on-one to help them feel better about themselves, she said.

Venneri provides a wide range of both facial and lash services. Her services include nano needling, chemical peels, dermaplaning and basic 30-minute facials. Venneri also provides skin consultations at no charge. Her lash services include lash lifting and tinting.

“I take a medical-grade scalpel and scrape over the top layer of your skin and it removes the dead skin cells and the vellus hair (or peach fuzz),” Venneri said when explaining dermaplaning.

The skin care services and products used depend on a client’s type of skin, which ranges from oily to dry. During a skin consultation with Face Forward Esthetics, visitors can map out their skin care plan with Venneri to figure out what will benefit them the most. Often, she added, people believe they have oily skin when it’s actually dry.

Customers can receive clinical oatmeal masques from Venneri, which she said are great for soothing irritated skin. Containing pharmaceutical grade colloidal oatmeal, aloe vera and oat oil, the masques alleviate itching, irritation and skin discomfort, according to Face Forward Esthetics.

“The experience and working here (at Parlour 73) has been awesome, too. It’s a new environment and I definitely think it’s meeting new people for sure,” Venneri said of her favorite part of owning Face Forward Esthetics.

Customer reviews have been positive, too. One of those, from Shelly Wyles, stated she felt incredibly spoiled after her basic facial, adding she can’t wait to set up another appointment.

“For someone just starting out, she’s very professional and has magic fingers and after my session with her, my face felt so clean and fresh,” Wyles stated in her review.
