This year’s Valentine’s Day features a number of ways to indulge and spoil a person’s special someone. From fine dining at ilani to a “Galentine’s day” full of painting, there are numerous events scheduled in the area to mark the holiday prior to Feb. 14.

Main Street Floral offers ‘Valentine’s designer exclusive’

Alongside a variety of Valentine’s Day bouquets, Main Street Floral Company in Battle Ground will also offer a “Valentine’s designer exclusive” arrangement this year.

The option is an adaptation of Main Street Floral Company’s usual “designer exclusive” offering for the holiday, according to the business’ website. The option allows for the “greatest variety of flowers, with the best quality and value.”

The designer’s exclusive offering was founded based on encouragement from Frank Blanchard, an American Institute of Floral Designers-accredited part of Main Street Floral Company’s design team, according to the business’ website.

“As a master florist, we are the only shop in Clark County to have a designer with such credentials,” Main Street Floral Company’s website states.

The option ranges from $100 for a standard arrangement to $200 for a premium arrangement. The Valentine’s designer exclusive, alongside other Valentine’s Day offerings, can be viewed online at mainstreetfloralcompa ny.net/categories/st.-valentine-s-day-collection/357106.

Main Street Floral company is located at 717 W. Main St., Suite 118, in Battle Ground. The business can be reached by phone at 360-723-5365.

Chocolate making, Galentine’s painting at Gather Arts

Those looking to make something of their own have a few options at Gather Arts studio in Hockinson.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, and Sunday, Feb. 12, the studio will offer two artisan chocolate making and drink pairing events. Betsy McBride, the chocolatier for Heavens to Betsy Chocolates, will lead attendees as they make their own take-home box of artisan chocolates.

The event will focus on four flavors: berry medley, peanut butter, brownie bliss and “heart breaker,” a raspberry and cinnamon flavor, according to the event website. Each chocolate will be paired with a flight of tastings, which include wine or non-alcoholic drinks.

Attendees will go home with up to a dozen chocolates and materials for a Valentine’s Day gift, the event website stated. Peanut and dairy products will be used.

The event is hosted twice on Feb. 11, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., and once on Feb. 12, from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $55 for a single and $90 for a couple.

The studio will also offer a Galentine’s “Paint and Sip” on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13. An instructor will lead attendees through step-by-step instructions on how to paint a wine glass using specialty glass enamel paints, according to the event website.

While the paint dries between layers, attendees will enjoy charcuterie, wine and Galentine’s giveaways.

The two times for the event are Feb. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Feb. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $32 for one ticket or $55 for two.

Tickets for both events are available at gatherarts.com/cal endar. Gather Arts is located at 16523 NE 170th Ave., Brush Prairie
